Project Name: National Aquarium in Baltimore Client: DW Kozera, Inc. Location of Project: Baltimore, Maryland Seismic Surveys was engaged by the Geotechnical Engineer of record to conduct a pre-construction photographic and video graphic survey of the existing National Aquarium of Baltimore building prior to pile driving and demolition operations for new adjacent construction. The photographic and video graphic documentation was prepared as formal reports and submitted to the Owner prior to construction. During pile driving operations for deep foundations, three continuously recording seismic stations were operated by Seismic Surveys and the data was analyzed and reported weekly. Each seismograph was equipped with a remote visual strobe alarm that alerted the Contractor if vibrations approached or exceeded project specified limits. |
